“真生版"在普通版的基础上修正了剧中 327 个镜头，并且将观影级别从 PG12 调整为 R15+ ，包含了导演预想的残忍、血腥效果。
在豪华版蓝光碟片中，两版均有收录。
The Birth of Kitaro: The Mystery of GeGeGe is available in two versions: a Standard Edition and a True Birth Edition. The True Birth Version, building on the Standard Version, modifies 327 shots and moves the rating from PG12 to R15+, incorporating the director's intended gore and blood effects. Both editions are included in the Deluxe Edition Blu-ray.

本作原生分辨率较高，但全片画面都存有大量噪点。噪点量大、噪点种类多，导致码率非常不够用，DCT Blocking 随处可见。除了常规的处理，我们在控制体积、保护 FHD 素材和重构噪点等方面也进行了努力。
This title has a relatively high native resolution; however, the entire film features extensive noise. The high volume and diversity of noise consume a great deal of bitrate, leading to ubiquitous DCT blocking. In addition to standard pp, we put additional effort into balancing file size, preserving FHD assets, and reconstructing noise.

另，“真生版"的原盘提供了多版本的章节，除了主章节外，还有按照人物出场镜头分类的章节，我们一并封在文件内，可以通过切换 Edition 来更改。这个功能有部分播放器支持，如有兴趣可自行研究，在此不再赘述。
Furthermore, the True Birth Version Blu-ray offers multiple chapter variations. In addition to the main chapter set, it provides character-based chapters. We've included these within the same file; players that support switching the “Edition" option can access them. Those interested can explore this feature, though we won't delve into it further here.
